Reiki - A Gentle and Powerful Healing Modality Reiki can be applied as both a 'hands-on' or 'hands-off' technique, making it suitable for assisting clients dealing with emotional and/or physical traumas. Just as with Tellington Touch, Reiki does not require clothing to be removed for it to be effective. Reiki and Tellington Touch are both effective forms of 'touch' for Palliative Care as well as generally, there is little or no pressure introduced with these protocols. Many hospices now use Reiki with their clients. Reiki is used for a variety of ailments such as stress, anxiety, grief, pain relief, headaches, upset stomachs, back issues, asthma and/or respiratory problems, menstrual issue and so much more. Please note that Reiki is a complimentary protocol and should not be used in place of medical treatment; rather, it can greatly assist a person who is presently dealing with the stress and anxiety of medical treatment.
