Tellington Touch For more than 20 years, Tellington Touch has emerged as a natural healing modality for humans. Used by nurses, physicians, physical therapists, massage therapists and other healthcare professionals and caregivers around the world. TTouch provides a unique opportunity for expression of support and caring as well as relief of a multitude of symptoms. TTouch is used for labouring women, children, family members, in nursing homes, for end of life, post-surgeries, pain management in the treatment of wounds and burns, acute injury or trauma. It is also used as an adjunct treatment for chronic pain and in the treatment of stroke and/or traumatic brain injury. TTouch is extremely helpful for patient empowerment following a mastectomy or after a limb amputation. TTouch is thought to increase circulation to injuries such as sprains or strains which often result in decreased range of motion, due to edema, which limits the speed of recovery. Massage Practioners incorporate TTouch for healing whiplash as well as incorporating it as a beneficial tool for clients with fibromyalgia. Furthermore, TTouch is used for morbidly obese clients who often cannot be accommodated on traditional massage equipment. Because clothing does not have to be removed for TTouch, overweight clients who may feel uncomfortable about disrobing for a traditional massage, can equally experience the benefit of touch without cause for embarrassment or concern.
